6 Fresh Things to Do in Melaka for People on a Budget
I asked a friend of mine who happens to be a frequent traveler, some of the best places I can go to without spending a lot of money. She told me that I should try Malaysia out, particularly in Melaka.
Melaka is a much smaller place compared to the country’s capital city, but this is not to say that it is not filled with fun and exciting things to do.
And oh, I also told her that I was on a budget as well. Fortunately, based on my research, there is actually a lot of things that you can do without requiring a lot of money.
In this post, I will talk about some of the fun places that I’ve been to while I was in Melaka. I was also referred to by a friend that their escort service is top-notch. Anyway, here are some things that you can do in Melaka even when you’re on a budget:
Huskies are one of the best pets out there. Although they are a bit bigger than other dog breeds, they are actually quite funny and friendly as well.
The Huskitory is sort of a pet shop and café combo that you can visit. The place is filled with twenty Huskies that you can pet and have fun playing with.
The good thing is that this café, although it allows you to interact with the dogs, do provide some quiet time for them so that they do not get too stressed.
But, with twenty different huskies, you can rest assured knowing that you can pet and take a picture of some of them.
Mamee Mega Factory
If you are an avid fan of Mamee noodles and you are interested to know how they’re actually made, then you can head on over to the Mamee Mega Factory.
Here, you can see how these amazing snacks are made and after the tour, you can head straight to Mamee Jonker House located at Jonker Street for your daily Mamee fix.
There are some watery parts in Melaka that you can visit. One of which is the Pantai Siring, where you can pay RM25 and be a fisherman for a day.
The fishermen will not go out to sea at night, but they will do so early in the morning. You can stay in one of their huts until the perfect time comes, after which you can join them in their quest to find some seafood.
Teddy Bear Café
If you have a soft spot for teddy bears (I think it is safe to assume that we all have them), then you can head on over to Teddy Bear Café.
This is one of Melaka’s first themed cafes and you are presented with a vast array of different teddy bears on display.
You can have a simple snack and a cup of coffee while you interact with some cuddly bears. And oh, you can even buy some for yourself!
Shore Sky Tower
If you love to explore the sights and sounds of Melaka, then why not go up top and see a bird’s eye view of the entire city?
You can go to Shore Sky Tower’s 42nd floor as you can walk and look down the glass floor. Do not worry, it is sturdy enough not for you to fall.
The last stop that you can take is the Shore Oceanarium. This is one of the places in the entire world where you can see a vast collection of different seashells. Plus, you can learn a lot of things about them as well.
